Privacy Policy

This policy describes Magical Pad for iPhone and iPad, the Magic Pad Bridge Mac companion, and this support website. The apps let your mobile device send pointer input and reviewed text to your paired Mac.
Input shared between your devices
Magical Pad sends pointer positions, movement, button state and related input samples directly to the paired Mac over your local network. Text is sent when you tap Send to Mac. Bridge submits that text to the application you have focused. Your chosen Mac application may handle or store it under its own privacy policy.
The connection uses authenticated, encrypted TLS supplied by Apple’s operating system. The developer does not operate a server that receives the apps’ pointer or text content. Bridge processes input in memory and does not save a text or pointer history.
Discovery, pairing and local storage
Local discovery announces a service name and network endpoint. Pairing and connected sessions use device names, generated device identifiers, session identifiers and a temporary pairing secret. The secret is shared through the Mac’s QR code or copied invitation, not through discovery advertisements. Each invitation can start a connection for five minutes.
The iPhone or iPad app stores a generated device identifier in its app preferences (UserDefaults). The current apps keep pairing invitations and connection state in memory and do not save pairing credentials in Keychain. The Mac generates its device identifier in memory. Connection rates, timing and status are displayed locally; network-discovery errors may also appear in local system logs.
If you select Copy pairing code on Mac, the invitation is placed on the system clipboard. Bridge does not automatically clear that entry. Clipboard storage and sharing follow your operating-system settings. Expiry or replacement prevents new pairing with the old invitation, but does not erase a clipboard copy.
Camera and handwriting
Camera access is optional and used to scan a Mac pairing QR code with Apple’s system scanner. The app receives the recognized code and does not save or upload camera photos or video. You can paste a pairing code instead.
On iPad, handwriting entry uses Apple’s Scribble and system text-input features. Their availability and data handling follow your Apple settings and Apple’s policies. You can use the keyboard instead; iPhone provides a Text mode.
Text drafts
Draft text is held in the app’s memory, with no app-managed file or database saving. Sending, switching modes, disconnecting or putting the app in the background does not automatically clear the draft. Use Clear in the editor to remove it. The app does not automatically resend a draft after uncertain delivery. Text already sent to a Mac application is controlled by that application.
Accounts, analytics and advertising
The current apps have no developer-operated account system, advertising SDK, tracking SDK or analytics backend. Apple may separately provide App Store, TestFlight or crash information according to your settings and Apple’s policies.
Support messages
If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include so we can respond and investigate the problem. Do not include passwords, pairing invitations or sensitive text. Contact support if you have questions about your correspondence or wish to request its deletion.
This website
We do not add advertising, analytics scripts or contact forms ourselves. This website is hosted by GoDaddy, which adds performance monitoring code to hosted pages and may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and usage information to provide its services. See GoDaddy’s Privacy Policy for its handling of hosting and monitoring data.
The apps’ Support and Privacy Policy links open the website through your system browser. Website visits and support emails are separate from the local input connection.
Your controls
You can disconnect, clear text drafts, generate a new pairing invitation, revoke Camera or Local Network access, revoke Bridge’s Accessibility permission, and uninstall the apps. These actions do not delete text already sent to a Mac application, a copied clipboard entry or support correspondence.
